I bring over 34 years of teaching experience to 21st Century Preparatory School, including 23 years with the Head Start program and 10 ½ years teaching kindergarten at 21st Century. This year marks my first full year as Reading Interventionist. I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood Education, an M.A. in Special Education, and a Reading License. In addition, I lead an after-school Cooking Club for students in grades K–4.
As Reading Interventionist, I partner with teachers and families to strengthen students’ reading skills, build confidence, and foster a love of reading. Through LETRS-based instruction, I work to ensure students have a strong foundation in literacy that will serve them throughout their education.
Outside of school, I enjoy time with my family, including my husband of 25 years, our three children (two of whom are 21st Century graduates), our grandson who attends 4K at 21st, and our two golden retrievers, Emme and Bruno. I also enjoy traveling to baseball stadiums, spending weekends with my grandson, and watching baseball and football.
