As a public school, the 21st Century Preparatory School is open to any age-appropriate students living within the Racine Unified School District boundaries. Students that will be in PK4 through 8th grade for the school year 2009-2010 may register. Students must be four years old by September 1st to be eligible for PK4 and must be five years old by September 1st to be eligible for Kindergarten. We do not offer placement testing for children younger than the minimum age requirement.
PRIORITY RE-ENROLLMENT DATES: The official re-enrollment dates for registration for the 2009-2010 school year for our current population and priority registration for siblings will start on Monday, January 12, 2009 (8:00a.m.) through Friday, January 30, 2009 (4:00 p.m.). Re-Enrollment applications will be distributed to all current students on Monday, January 12, 2009. Families will be reminded of the deadline for registration through the weekly email and newsletters. All re-enrollment forms will be color coded per grade level.
If you need to register a sibling that is not currently attending our school this school year you will need to stop by the school office and pick up a registration form. The you will need to fill out the correct color coded registration form. The new siblings will need to be registered from Monday, January 12, 2009 through Friday, January 30, 2009. A copy of the child's immunization records must be attached to the application and a copy of their birth certificate must be brought in and reviewed by our staff as verification of age.
The new siblings (grades PK4-8) will be put on a priority waiting list according to date and time received. These students will not be put into the lottery process.
OPEN ENROLLMENT DATES : The official open enrollment dates for the 2009-2010 school year will be from Monday, February 2, 2009 @ 8:00 a.m. through Friday, February 27, 2009 @ 4:00 p.m. Please stop by the school office and pick up an enrollment form during the hours of 7:30 - 4:30. Each form will need to have attached a copy of the student’s immunization record to be accepted. Please bring a copy of the child's birth certificate as proof of age.
LOTTERY DATE: All new enrollments will be placed in our lottery. Each grade level will have a separate waiting list. The names of students will be pulled out one by one and placed on the waiting list for that particular grade level. This is the list the school will pull from when an opening occurs in a grade level. The lottery date is: Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the school theater.
The students will not be pulled from this list until the first business day after the last day of school in June 2009. You will be notified when there becomes an opening that we need to fill. Please contact Doreen Daniels at 262-898-1169 with any questions or concerns.
