Welcome to 21st Century Preparatory School!
Throughout the facility there is a healthy hum of learning with students cooperating on projects, creating art, practicing music and violin, enjoying reading or exploring knowledge in social studies and science in our lab or through technology. Our dedicated and experienced faculty and staff are truly committed to developing a “pathway to success for every child”.
On the first floor we have our primary grades with students in kindergarten through grade 2 enjoying reading and math at their level, working at learning stations or computers, and often moving far beyond their grade level in reading. The multi-age reading groups of students throughout the school coupled with smaller class sizes allow us to meet students at their level, assess their needs and encourage their growth toward their grade level and beyond. Teachers and students utilize the tools of technology to enhance and expand learning across the curriculum.
On the second floor we find classrooms surrounding a beautiful library and computer center that all students visit regularly. Our special needs students in all grades are serviced by a full support staff within an inclusion setting. The art room, hallways and lobby glisten with student creations developed as a part of the school’s Core Knowledge program. The same is true of music where students explore music history, composing, vocal and instrumental skills and work in our piano lab. Some students choose to participate in our Suzuki violin program as well.
Grades 7 and 8 are located in their own school wing that is well suited to the needs and interests of middle school students. An inviting gathering space provides options for small group work and student meetings. The Encore Program offers a variety of electives for students in these grades.
21st Century Preparatory School is a place where learning comes first, and success is encouraged and recognized.
